Egyptian Spice Market is located in Eminonu, where the locals call the market as Mısır Carsisi (Egyptian Bazaar), because it was once funded by taxes collected from Egypt.
There are approx. 85 shops in the bazaar, which can be accessed by way of 6 different entrances. Scent of quality spices and freshly grounded Turkish Coffee invites you to the market area, where dried apricots, pistachios, walnuts, fresh spices, nuts, honeycomb, Turkish delight, dried figs, caviar and mature hard Turkish cheese are sold.
Visiting Egyptian Spice Market is a chance to see the real and live Istanbul's traditional commercial life. It has restaurants upstairs with a stunning view over the Golden Horn and Galata Bridge.
